ridd Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Greetings all. There isn't much information about recording and streaming video in Continuum, so I was hoping to get some guidance here. Long story short, I've tried many methods of recording (and now streaming) video with no success in achieving solid performance. My most recent attempt is utilizing Ustream.tv to stream live, which I am perfectly capable of getting good results when streaming Starcraft 2. But with Continuum, my screen shows smooth performance, but the stream stutters/skips heavily and it's nigh unwatchable. I've attempted to use various combinations of Continuum video/advanced settings with no good results. I've tried adjusting the FPS in the streaming utility I'm using (Flash Live Media Encoder) with no results as well. The bottleneck appears to be with the program itself. I was hoping someone had experience with this and has advice on how to improve streaming performance. Thank you.
🜲 PoLiX Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 It is VH Multi Cam Studio I put continuum in windowed mode, and I couldn't figure out why if I kept clicking around menus and stuff adobe seemed smooth. So I kept playin with it, assuming it was its fault. I then randomly was clicking on menus on VHMCS and it was moving smooth. I kept moving the mouse on the menu and all, and it looked flawless. So something is up with that recording studio and continuum. I dunno what, but something. Edit: http://polix.ssgn.net/ridd/ - might explain it better SSForum.net - September 01, 2002 - Rowen (SSDownloads.Com), PoLiX (SSCentral.Com), and Cyberise (Subspace.Net)
ridd Posted March 27, 2011 Author Report Posted March 27, 2011 Well, I don't use VH Multi Cam Studio, but I do use VHScrCap. So maybe it's related to that?
🜲 PoLiX Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Gone through tons of sites and forums. Can't seem to get continuum to look decent. I can get it to not skip, but it is nearly unreadable.
