15973 Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Good morning! Player database and Bang has been down over 24 hours in T3G. Something wrong with one of SSC servers? Help! 15973Sysop T3G The Gauntlet Quote
»gallitin Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Strange. Everything is still up in Starwarzone so it's not everyone. Quote
15973 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Tell me about it. We are the only ones not score tracking on http://stats.sshq.net/directory/3/sscentral.com. Also have been getting an irritating Sysop red msg about every 1-2 minutes of "Disconnect request from billing server ignored" for a couple weeks now. Our long time Sysop NightHawk has been unavailable/unwilling to assist for months, so the n00b Sysops are running T3G. We lack the experience and knowledge NH has amassed over 10 years and is unwilling/unable to share. May be asking some stupid questions, but it's the only way to learn. Will be relying on this forum! 15973 Quote
L.C. Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) Have you tried *recycle? :? EDIT: Nevermind, took a look at the server.ini and compared with others. I made a few adjustments and at least one fix. Zone restarted, hope this helps. Edited March 25, 2011 by L.C. Quote
15973 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Thank you so much! 15973Sysop T3G PS What was changed in .ini file so I know next time? Quote
»gallitin Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Nothing, it just restarted the server. Quote
L.C. Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) Thank you so much! 15973Sysop T3G PS What was changed in .ini file so I know next time?Read the comments I made under [billing] in server.ini Someone changed IP=localhost to IP=127.0.0.1. That is not a valid value in Subgame2. Second to that, the AttemptTime and ReconnectTime were both very low values. The latter needs to be a smaller value than the first, and the defaults set by BlueT/SSCV are sufficient to guarantee diagnostics and compatibility (and the zone recycles extremely fast anyway, so they aren't a problem either). 15973 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 LC, please let me know what you updated in the server.ini so we have for future reference? It wasn't just a recycle, as the red msgs have stopped. We have several other maps that might benefit. Thank you again,15973Sysop T3G Quote

Please reread my [updated] reply, or *getfile server.ini and examine the comments I made under [billing] yourself (as you are a SysOp in the zone). Edited March 25, 2011 by L.C. Quote
