Need to somehow let squads associate with there squadmates... Getting people actively in a squad will bring the same ppl back for more and new comers wanting the to progress to that level

I think I know what he's saying. Hyperspace doesn't appear to have anything worth squadding for lately. We used to have squads, mainly for private frequencies but that created a thing called 'veteran dominance' which basically destroyed the fun for newcomers. That may be the reason staff decided to remove private frequencies. If I remember correctly, the first action from staff was limiting the size of private frequencies. It was around 8 max and went down to maybe 4-5? And then 3ish?..

 

I would really like to see private frequencies and squads revived. Given the population of public at times, a 7 ship private frequency is fair but there should be a dynamic maxplayer cap that depends on the size of the public frequencies at any given time.

7? I'd go with 3 or so. Problem is that you probably also want to base with those private frequencies, which "revives" all the good old flanking-by-ragequiters.

Thee may be too low. Granted we all know what happens when high experience players have the ability to team up in numbers. Instead I'd like them to be able to group up but be constantly challenged. If a private team of 6 regardless of experience/money can defend a base against two teams of 15, for example, we can then lower it to 4 and ask them to do it again :p

 

But then again, I suppose I don't even support this idea. Things now are good.

You're assuming private teams would be allowed to base. I'd call that highly unlikely.

Maybe as an event kind of thing shortly before Conquest goes into beta, as

a possible 'goodbye' to flagging.

 

Don't count on it either way.
