A topic to discuss the freedom of Mizzike.

 

Should he be let free on such an early status? Should he have been detained for a longer time period?

Private Messages are not moderated.

 

Public Chat, is public so it can not be considered directed towards anyone unless names are used. SO you can't use harassment card if they talk in public.

 

Harassment is a no a go against Staff.

 

If someone doesn't want to use ?ignore it means they enjoy whatever you are saying, even if they ?report you, they love the conflict, and just want the opportunity to use staff as a tool to get someone banned, and feel their own ego trip.

 

Staff who can't deal with players, and has no desire to, basically shouldn't. You are owners, back staff, stay hidden if you don't like dealing with your own player demographic.

 

Staff who feels they need to teach people lessons. AKA Hoch, you are retarded. Your not our mothers, or teachers, and basing punishments on "history" is equally retarded. Do what you have to do, based on the situation.

 

Hmm what ELSE! well if Mizziki is such a problem, then ?find falconeer, and I will gladly take a staff position, drag any problems into a private arena with me all day, and talk to these problems. I am pretty sure I am more dedicated and more relentless with my freedom of speech than they are =)

how hard is it to understand that you have no right to anything on a privately owned and operated server. whether the owners and operators are reasonable, fair, just, and smart people or not. so there's no point in talking about it as some fundamental right and there really is no point in whining about it on another forum.

But counter understand that what makes a zone is the people who play there.. so owners can run their zone anyway they want obviously, but if the people get fed up, don't expect them all to stay. I believe Metal Gear Experienced this first hand or something?

You've got this entirely backwards. What makes the people play there is the zone.

 

Changing things in the zone will change the group of players, but the reverse is not true and has never happened (as far as I know).

It us up to zone owners what can and cannot be said/done in their zone and up to you to obey the rules or be banned. Simples!

i agree that zones can do whatever they want. Silencing players, however, should be used more often. Silence before banning if chat is being abused.

That's not something to brag about. Why not add words deemed to be offensive or profane into obscene.txt and have it automatically turned on upon entering the zone? If anyone wants to read the swearing they will turn it off. Problem solved, no trivial bans handed out, more population in the zone.

 

But hey, that's just my inconsequential opinion.

Bans should be for cheaters.

 

If you ban for any other reason, at least have the guts, courage, integrity, balls? To admit you just like to push people around as much as the guy swearing does. You do it in a different way, doesn't make you any better retard. Tired of people trying to cover up their actions, by claiming good intentions, or saying its good for the zone. The only thing good for a zone is an open mind and banning CHEATERS. Any other offenses can be dealt with through gag, vote gag system, obscene txt, ignore, and so on.

 

If you want to ban people for stupid reasons, you don't need to go around pretending to be some savior of the zone. Say it makes you feel good and admit there was a better way but you were too lazy, and at least you'll be half a man for admitting it.
