I gotta admit, inaccurate bullets are actually somewhat interesting.

True, but the bullets fired by the user will always be accurate anyway... so it would be kind of like having a random-ish multifire. But I guess it could work for a rapid-fire weapon that fires in bursts of 5 to 10 bullets or something. Could be fun

What I meant is using extraweapon for inaccurate bullets. A bit like a shotgun or something.

Although, of course, it might be annoying as hell to use.

Long delay weapon that fires 5 bullets at a time? sounds like fun, except that extra weapon would have to be the same size as the player, since firing from a spider and having a bunch of bullets shoot out from the center would be strange

Lol i didn't that we were going into wiki here. Anyways, when i think of a rail gun, i think of a gun that does a lot of damage in a short amount of time. If you coul use extra weapn to fire bullets miliseconds after you fire your gun, but also have high fire energy, then that would be my idea of rail gun. But it seems too cheap to actually put into the game.

Sorry for the mistKes im a bit drunk.

No go, really. I use position packets sent by the client, and add a weapon to them. The delay between those packets is, by default, 100 milliseconds.

This delay varies a bit as ships send far more packets when they thrust, rotate or fire weapons themselves (although position packets with weapons attached aren't used by extraweapon).

This works fine for bombs and specials like repels/bursts (doesn't really matter if those fire right after one another or after a small delay), but for really rapid fire guns it doesn't work too well.

A shredder-like delay is the best I can do.

not true, you can send one every centisecond

also, id like to campaign to get prox back on phoenix to make it actually useful again

either that or reduce the fire cost, because you forgot to when you removed prox

and this is the part where i remind you that this game was designed to test the effects of multiplayer games on dialup

Which has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I don't know whether the OWNER of the SERVER minds if I DOUBLE the amount of used bandwidth, no matter how little that is in the first place.

Plus, I don't think you have dial-up but you lag out often enough.

also a mount called thorstorm, signature, lets you carry 6-10 thors(i want 10) and make bomb delay 30(3 tthors per second) and bomb energy 100000(no bombs)

also weighs ship down,it is good for weasel or lev or any other thor ship but sacrafises bomb catability and ship speed due to the additional load of 10 thors!!!

also mounts with 10 repels,a mount with 10 bursts, and you get the idea, signature mounts that focus on one thing, they can have things such as slowing your ship down, but with 10 repels dont slow shipdown,or else it cant rush
