Paxil Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 to do this? Some people have their "tricks" in making some graphical stuff. You think it would be possible to use a font or something from some program like microsoft word (using a certain size) then copy, paste, and add color?
m33pstah Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 yeah Try Follow me Hope this helps, and yeah i can help ya with some better lookin ships.
Paxil Posted January 18, 2004 Author Report Posted January 18, 2004 Wo, I gotta get use to this program, lol. AIM: GeminiFreak18Email: Savant_13@yahoo.com
Yupa Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 you CAN just use Photoshop, y'know... just open up a font .bmp (Continuum\graphics) and make sure the proportions are the same (same number of columns/rows) and that each character is in the same place
fresca Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Well, every font I have attempted ot make turned out to be a little messed up.. Anyways, for the most part people dislike custom fonts, but if you wish to continue; You don't need to use something the same dimensions as a font .bm2, but it needs to be aligned/organized the same exact way. Meaning, there must be two lines with the same # of characters/letters on each for a color, and 8 different colors/repeats. So in other words, here's how it goes down.. tallfont.bm2 = 384x192 pixelsEach letter = 8x12 pixels in sizeEach row = 48 characters/lettersEach row = 384x24 pixels (8 rows) So, lets say you make a bigger font, and each letter was 12x20 pixels.. You would need the following-tallfont.bm2 = 576x320 pixelsYou would have to align it perfectly so there is 48 letters each row, and etc.. it's nerveracking and exhausting=/ Made a quick example.. hope it makes sense lol
madhaha Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Please post completed fonts. It'd help other zones and they might even be included in the next release...
fresca Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 but im so lazy.. I'll put it on my to do list.
