Did you notice any of them? Nope? Good.

Most of the recent updates to the site have been backend. All the CSS code has been redone, and besides one final future change coming to the videos page, is now complete. This will make it a lot easier for when I begin hiring more staff members to add and update pages. Styling is a lot more self explanatory.

I also changed from Lightbox to Fancybox for the images (and soon videos). It uses only 2 javascript files (1 local, 1 called from google), and they are both packed making them almost 80kb smaller than Lightbox and its dependencies.

More changes will be coming, and this time will be on the frontend. Those changes you will notice, and I will keep you updated on what is coming.

As always, remember this news page is open posting, and anyone can post a news story.

I do slightly lie, as I plan to use CSS Splicing on the images. But that is 50-50 as it is backend, but will also be noticeable on the frontend in speed and image updates.

CSS Splicing = using image sprites?

If so, this little tool helped me alot when using sprites on the Subspace Population Statistics website: http://spriteme.org/

It's capable of generating the images and the needed CSS.

tweaked http://www.ssgn.net/videos.php some. More tweaks and some styling to come to make it a bit more appealing. Will take that style and use it to make some information pages on ships, screen icons, etc.

Will be looking to staff things up about that time.
