I have a SSD, indeed...

And I don't know why, my memory score dropped after I installed the SSD... Pretty sure it was in the 7's. I should have a 6.8 global score :unknw:

AMD Phenom II X6 CPU

2x2GB RAM

60GB OCZ Agility SSD

1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drive

Radeon 4670

Lenovo widescreen 19" monitor (1440x900)

(Not worth upgrading video card until I get a monitor with more resolution)

I'm not really into pc modding anymore but I was a bit of a fanatic about a year ago

Edit: Running W7 Ultimate 64 bit of course

Edit2 : if you are building a new system or upgrading one, NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER buy an ATI card. Just a good rule of thumb. nVidia cards will last longer, overclock better, run cooler, are more reliable, cost less, have more convenient features, better driver support, and better tech support on the nVidia forums. Also more driver updates etc. ATI might have the best card on the market for a given time but beyond that you won't get much out of them. Again NEVER BUY AN ATI CARD OR A MACHINE WITH AN ATI CARD you will have headache after headache with driver issues and you will get more BS than you could ever imagine. Good f***ing luck with linux support that's hit or miss too!

Yeah, you're totally wrong op2rules. The cards vary far more from model-to-model than company-to-company. Also, Nvidia has better Linux support than AMD/ATI, historically (I've heard that AMD has gotten better about it lately).

is that where you guard your email passwords

I keep mine in KeePass under a 512-bit encrypted database that requires a master password and a 256-bit key.

I HAD the new macbook pro w/ the intel core i7 processor, hyper threading, integrated memory handler, and the sweet NVDIA 3d Graphics Card, but some guy had the balls to break into my mom's appartment to take it. Good thing I still have warranty :<. But atm, I'm using my older macbook pro, the one that is smaller than 17in. i dunno wtf it is.

if you can afford it, grab an SSD, doesn't have to be large, 40gb, and use it as your main drive for installing your OS and apps like word processing and such and have whichever drive you have now as your data drive for music, pictures, videos etc. you'll be amazed !!!

but do a lot of research if you do, there are a lot of crappy SSDs out there!

Probably because a 10kRPM drive isn't much better than any other magnetic drive.

A solid state drive does make quite a difference in loading programs. I have a 120GB one in both my home and work computers. If I used my laptop more frequently, I'd buy one for it too.
