Resol Posted November 25, 2010 Author Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) I see a bunch of views, 1 reply. Was hoping for some thoughts of other people. Also, you can see how it looks in game in my zone SSCL CTF (AS3) in the arena gbomb. The g is for gravity, not 100% sure where the arena is going at the moment, or if I want to use more then just helicopters, Just trying to do different things right now. Please tell me what you think! EDIT: Also If anyone is interested in the model being rotated in different ways, let me know. Edited November 25, 2010 by Resol
🜲 Samapico Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 The problem with any helicopter shipset that was made since the existence of custom shipsets is the lack of animation... An helicopter with non-rotating blades doesn't look right... It's possible to have the roll add some pseudo-animation in there, but I don't think it will ever look right. And I'm not trying to putting down anyone's work, it's just the way Continuum/Subspace's "engine" is designed that creates these limitations... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg/120px-Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg.pngDCME co-developerSSCU 17th Parallel sysop
★ Xog Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Use a stationary image that looks like it's rotating (but isn't) http://homepage.ntlworld.com/rob.neal2/misc/Helicopter%20Blades.jpg Subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/LooneyBandito Follow! http://www.twitter.com/LooneyBandito
