Resol Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 I've noticed something strange... Using the same directory servers, some people can find SSL zones, and others can not. I'm not 100% sure, but I think all of the SSL zones send information to at least 4 directories. I made sure that my zone was sending the information to the correct places, and it is. So why would this be?
★ Purge Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 The people that have the problems might have the directory servers listed in a different order from each other, so a certain directory server may be causing the problem since the client downloads from the first available directory server.
🜲 Samapico Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Combine that with the possibility that the zone(s) is/are not broadcasting to all of these directory servers... i.e. it isn't necessarily a directory server issue, but could be a zone config issue, and the way the zone list is downloaded gives you a false impression that it uses all the directory servers http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg/120px-Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg.pngDCME co-developerSSCU 17th Parallel sysop
Resol Posted October 30, 2010 Author Report Posted October 30, 2010 Well, the only directory that gets SSL zones is ssdir.playsubspace.com Other the others will not find them. And I even changed the order of the directory servers that my SSL zone was sending to.
★ Lynx Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Your zone is on ds1.krslynx.com and ssdir.playsubspace.com, not sure about the others. Edited October 30, 2010 by Lynx
