I'd prefer SG to PW actually.

 

Yesterday Haje Haje had set up a bot that gave $100 to anybody that he killed, alot of players felt this was buying kills. When PW was asked he said "uhh yes it probably is", did he do anything about it though? No. What's the point in being mod if you don't take action against rule breakers?

 

Although at least he managed to type in purple chat for no apparant reason later on that evening.

Haven't seen PW host either. Not to say that he hasn't. I may have not been on if and when he did. Perhaps his only duty as jrmod is to degrant Cheese periodically.

the mods are doing a good job in the sense that they enforce the rules and mean well for the zone, however since they are new to staffing they need a smod to help guide them, someone with experience. it is the same with any company, or army, sports team or whatever analogy you want to use, you need leadership from someone with experience.

 

brain and d1 fit that role but they are simply not in the zone often enough or for long periods of time. get samapico or someone with experience in there to aid the mods in learning.

I'm not much in the zone anymore either... I get lagged out/disconnect every few minutes in every zone, even though my ping is fine. So I tend to play less.

I think all the mods are doing a good job considering theres almost nobody on to help them (I'm too busy atm), and hosting is not required by them, they were not hired to host events, only if they feel like doing so.

a problem that has been needing to be addressed is that the degrant command is UNTAGGED.

players need to know whos stealing their money.

you owe it to them.

the only excusable instance is when the staffer doesnt appear on ?listmod

An important thing to note when reading these 'logs' is that as far as I know all of this happened after a purple arena message

stating that all swearing (including censored) is considered breaking a rule. When people start discussing a rule and don't

stop when asked to, they shouldn't be surprised when they're fined without warning.

 

Note: The 'discussion' involved people attempting to avoid rules using structures like: "Is calling someone a Jew breaking a rule?".

Good reason to ask people to stop.

Corrected:

Monkey was degranted 50k for saying "oh sh-" after discussion of swearing being bad. He also swore earlier iirc.

25k was also 'regranted' later on because I fell for Namp telling me the degrant was unnecessary (which I obviously shouldn't have).

 

Edit2: Disclaimer = this doesn't mean I agree with/approve of all the degranting/fining/warning/whatever-rule-enforcement
