Get 2 fake players that fire in a specific direction relative to the player, from a location relative to the player.

Then give them bombs. Voila.

don't need fake players, just send another weapon

You'll need a fake if you want it to show up on your screen without warping you around.

Heh, D1, last time I checked it was your module being used for the dual barrel bombs. The python module making it "happen" is about 2 lines of code Edited June 13, 2011 by spidernl

I added ufo.

 

You need a fake player per weapon if you want to fire them at the same time. Weapon packet with the same timestamp & pid are ignored.

Technically, it is indeed very similar to *mirror.

But what we want to do in everspace is that you can buy multiple bombs and guns, if you equip all of them and fire, you fire all those bombs and guns.

Using offsets you can do stuff like this:

If mirror were client side then its weapons wouldn't be seen by other players... thus defeating its entire purpose, as Jowie said. Hence, it wasn't client side.

it was just the server sending the players location back to that player and noone else

i suppose thats why it wouldnt be client side

but it might as well have been
