flared Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) As some of you may have heard, FieryFire from TW is beginning a potential five year campaign to help bring this game back to life. He's been recording TWD and TWL matches in TW for the past month and putting them on his youtube channel (youtube.com/FieryFire3d). He has made an agreement with foundations to sponsor several prized events in TW. The more subscribers he has on his channel means higher payout as well as greater frequency of the cash prize events. Each cash prized event will pay an equal amount to the winner as well as a charity of their choice. If you have friends who are casual gamers and looking for a fun way to win some extra cash let them know. If you are a member of any other gaming community let them know as well. Spread the word! There's nothing that I (as well as the rest of the SS community I'm sure) would like to see more than this game returning to the way it was several years ago, so let's take this opportunity and use it the best we can. Remember, the more subscribers the better, and to be eligible for cash prizes you must be subscribed to his channel. More information can be found on his youtube channel. »Purge Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 If they have money to give out, why not? It may very well be the best way of attracting population. Quote
L.C. Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Hah, yeah, I know. I was just playing devil's advocate. If I had the money, I would have a SVS map competition open to all with lots of cash prizes. EDIT: Although a competition like that would actually yield useful resources and material. mineRBot89 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 What's the point of a cash prize if the people who DONT play subspace a lot, don't know about it. You should make advertisements with the ad "CASH PRIZES AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH! DOWNLOAD THIS FREE GAME NOW: GETCONTINUUM.COM" Quote
flared Posted October 15, 2010 Author Report Posted October 15, 2010 What's the point of a cash prize if the people who DONT play subspace a lot, don't know about it. You should make advertisements with the ad "CASH PRIZES AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH! DOWNLOAD THIS FREE GAME NOW: GETCONTINUUM.COM" Ultimately the goal is to bring attention to this game. This first event was put on by Tres, not by FieryFire. The amount of funding for this project is based on subscriptions to his youtube channel. The first phase of the project is the secure the current population and get them to subscribe. Once we've done that, we'll hit external advertising hard. Quote
»Xog Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Combining that with TurboSlug22's super top secret advertising plans and we'll have a population explosion extravaganza Quote
flared Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) well we've successfully made an agreement with chaos zone to get some footage from them and upload it on to our youtube channel in exchange for the staff pushing some of their players to subscribe via periodic messages and such. if any other zones would be intersted in doing something like this as well just drop me a ?message. also, we're having a $25 javelin free-for-all to 10 deaths on sunday oct. 24th at 6:00 pm EST in ?go BelimFF3D. all are welcome to play, but you must be subscribed to the youtube channel prior to the start of the event to be eligible for the prize. ps: why do i have that 'warn status' bar beneath my user info?
