So with the new center, someone entered and said:

omg ice field

And that brought me on my idea of a new field.

The basic idea is, a field that gives the nme an engine shut-down.

Ofc it need to be worked out so it wouldnt be to OP.

And I already have a name for it: Ice Field

Actually with a graphic backdrop, a field called "Ice Field" would be pretty suiting, granted your ship will look as if it were sliding across a sheet of ice uncontrollably in one direction.

And it'd keep on sliding even after it went out the other side, destroying the illusion...

and not if the module only shuts the engines down of those on all freqs other than the one who layed it

 

and then prized them their engines again once they werent in the field

Instead of engine shutdown, why not do the name some justice and anyone gets frozen in place, kinda how when you attach to some1 that isn't a lanc, but not to be over powering, (or depending on the size) be periodically.

how about this:

 

you have 2 seconds to get out of the field, or your engines shutdown (this meaning if you are smart you could afterburner your way through), however, after those 2 seconds, your engines shutdown. If you still manage to get out of the field (with momentum and people repping and what not), your engines will take 2 seconds to restart.

This "special rep" has existed long before fields were developed. Explain to me why it would be harder. Is it because rep settings would affect all reps? Is there no way to easily make a seperate rep with different settings? I'm no expert on HS settings so school me. Edited by eSpO~

You figured it out in your post. Repel setting controls all repels, the weapon packet does not send anything except the fact that it is a repel.

Adding an attack field is pretty easy if you don't care about a new LVZ graphic for it :p
