Spawning an autospider would be awesome... have it spawn where your ship is, in the direction your ship is facing, and then it pew pew pews until it dies. Only problem would be mass autospawning for meatshields...

the problem with these in bases is that they aim like pd, so they would be firing at a wall with a person behind it, and it would be near impossible to make them fire at walls to bounce and hit someone

That is not very hard. The hard part is having the bot fly to the optimal position.

Would it really be that bad if the bot just randomly flew a bit in a random direction (maybe not completely random, but you get the idea), then take a second to turn around and shoot, then fly around for a second, then take a second to shoot, etc. Then if your energy is low it would focus more on shooting? It wouldn't be OPTIMAL but the idea isn't to make these bots invincible either...

and even that isnt very difficult...

but i dont know how different a maze solver will be without solving the maze before it starts moving

how different will it be if its moving while its solving?

 

 

 

ps:

btw this is why having them in center is way easier than in bases

 

pps:

this wouldnt even be needed if they were dropturrets
