Deathmonger Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 If there was an addon with consumables that you could use to spawn them onto your own team, it would be cool, especially in base. Either AI ships or autoturrets for defenders. Quote
Sharpflame Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Spawning an autospider would be awesome... have it spawn where your ship is, in the direction your ship is facing, and then it pew pew pews until it dies. Only problem would be mass autospawning for meatshields... Quote
Cheese Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 the problem with these in bases is that they aim like pd, so they would be firing at a wall with a person behind it, and it would be near impossible to make them fire at walls to bounce and hit someone Quote

The hard part is having the bot fly to the optimal position. Would it really be that bad if the bot just randomly flew a bit in a random direction (maybe not completely random, but you get the idea), then take a second to turn around and shoot, then fly around for a second, then take a second to shoot, etc. Then if your energy is low it would focus more on shooting? It wouldn't be OPTIMAL but the idea isn't to make these bots invincible either... Quote
