Corey Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Hey, i was making more bases for another map, but i was wondering if we could put warps in a base, like going under a path, like this. Also like the corner warps in center. Quote
Kilo Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 have you ever been to asss test zone Quote
Cheese Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 translation: have you ever been to jowie's test zone, in which he has two regions that uses a default core warping module what this means to you: yes, and its easy Quote
»Xog Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 SSCV Warp Basing oh the possiblities and elements of fun Quote
op2rules Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 I don't think he was asking if this was possible, hell the center of the HS zone right now has those exact "warp pads" in every corner, not once but three times... I believe Corey wanted to know if it was within reason to put that in a basing map for HS. Quote
Corey Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Posted September 7, 2010 Ya, i was wondering if i could make a base with this sort of element in it. And if this could ever be a possible base being used in the future. I am currently working on 7 new bases. I wanted to bring something cool to the next 7 bases. I could always put a door in the entrance of the base, so if it doesn't work out you could just close that door. Quote
Sharpflame Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Seems like such a thing wouldn't play out right... the amount of bullet spam that can build up on the other side of the warp... Think of it like warping straight into the entrance of a base. In some cases, it could be mined and the mines couldn't be repped (which isn't necessarily bad, could be good for defense), and it just seems like something we'd want to put into a base for sh*ts 'n giggles. Maybe we should try it out though... just be careful not to go overkill with it and either put too many warps or over-nerf the warp (as in eating all the bullets in proximity of the warp). Plus, doesn't such a thing require coding? Ffffffffu. Quote
Corey Posted September 8, 2010 Author Report Posted September 8, 2010 well aquad and i were debating thisa year back, and it seems best to put item eater tiles around the edge of where the tunnel would be. Quote
Cheese Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 yes, this does require extra coding.and since corey now knows how difficult it was to get them to change the map, he also now knows he will win the lottery before this will get implemented. Quote
