»gallitin Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I assume this is because he is trying to enter the zone with a different version of the client? Anyone know who it is? He has tried 3 different times with different variations of names since about 9pm last night. Hakaku Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I highly doubt that Ahmad was logging in with a different version of Continuum. It's more likely that he was attempting to log in with a bot, but either the VIE protocol is not enabled, or he'd need to be on the VIP list. Assuming this was in SSCX Star Warzone, chances are he was just testing around. You can safely ignore it. Quote
Samapico Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Ahmad just doesn't know what he's doing... Just ignore him. Or you can block his IP... Quote
Dr Brain Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Chatnet uses TCP not UDP, so they wouldn't even be able to try connecting. Quote
»gallitin Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Posted September 7, 2010 It was a bot, it was an accident. Quote
Samapico Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Sure... Ahmed has these "accidents" on just about every zone, from dev zones to larger zones... If he ever starts to ask you questions, you'll understand he's pretty clueless, and his english is so bad, either you don't understand his question, or he doesn't understand your answer... Bleh. Static Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I suspect Starlight as the culprit. I used it in one ASSS zone, not sure which, but there was Arnk Dylie and fiends/friends. Could have been HZ, but def not HS. Someone told me that Starlight had bad encryption or something, and that it was sending notification messages. Quote
L.C. Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I don't have any problems using Starlight in a Subgame2 zone. @Gallitin is your zone ASSS? Quote

Samapico Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 LOL He was bugging me about how doing some thing in the asss config files, and I linked him to notepad++, or programmer's notepad, forgot... hoping the syntax would be more apparent to him that way, with the sections highlighted, comments colored and whatnot. But then he was like "what I do with notepad?" Quote
»SD>Big Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 (edited) hey, at least he's trying, it's not like he's doing things maliciously. don't be so hard on him. Edited September 9, 2010 by SD>Big Quote
L.C. Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 hey, at least he's trying, it's not like he's doing things maliciously. don't be so hard on him. That's what I think. In a sort of way, it is very difficult to figure out his approach sometimes. He uses Windows XP with right-to-left orientation of Arabic text. I suppose I'm not really a good teacher, since the best teachers have the greatest patience and tolerance to different pupils. I tried to stick in there with him, and I did for quite a while. Quote
Hakaku Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 He uses Windows XP with right-to-left orientation of Arabic text. How is that even relevant? Quote
Samapico Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I tried hard enough to help him out as well... but I'm not that patient Quote
