fresca Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 I don't want to show the graphic, because I don't want people stealing my work. But I have 1 (8 diff technically, just diff colored outline on each) graphic of the back side of the ship I would like rotated into a shipset.. Now, I do not use 3D programs like 3DS Max or MilkShape 3D, so I do not know if you need to make the 3D graphic in that program or not.. But anyways. So, I am not looking for someone whos an expert at graphics or anything, just someone who could possibly make a 3D rotation of my ship into a shipset. When I say 3D rotation, I am talking about a from-the-ground point of view. The Subspace ships are done in a birds-eye point of view. Hope that clears something up. If you don't know what I am talking about, and have played the game done by same makers of Subspace, Infantry, then the Infantry players' rotations are what I am talking about. Please reply if you can do so, or catch me on SSC biller under the alias fresca-, or e-mail me at ChrisM665@comcast.net.
fresca Posted January 11, 2004 Author Report Posted January 11, 2004 Bah, ok, I thought you could just take a picture and rotate it 3D in a 3D proggie if you had the source and blah blah, but i guess not.. =/
Killing Ape Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 try this ship rotator program to rotate the thing u have nowhttp://www.subspacedownloads.com/index.php?act=file&fid=999 i've honestly never tried this out, just heard about it but good luck
Killing Ape Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 o yea also see this posthttp://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=1801
fresca Posted January 11, 2004 Author Report Posted January 11, 2004 Those just rotate the image.. I am talking about a 3D rotation of the graphic I made=/
Killing Ape Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 ur dum... how can u have a 3d rotation with 2d graphics?
Killing Ape Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 either rotate it 2d or make 3d graphics
Versetti Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 You have too either make each one one by one and have the 3D look or just have a 3D model of the image too rotate around which would be that easiest way that I know.
Fluffy White Bunny Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Theres a plug-in for Photoshop called 3D Trasform that can be used for manipulating 2D images in 3D space...is that what you want to do?
Yupa Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 that's an interesting plugin http://www.artistic-effects.com/3dmaker.html while it's no match for rendering a real 3D model at many angles, you can actually make things appear to lean with it decently
m33pstah Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 To make any Graphic 3d, like a ship(s) needs to be made in Wireframe mate is ya best bet, then skin it from there, not alot of work really if i have the time u can send the ships to me, and details of skins etc of the ships. hope this helps
madhaha Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 You need to draw the additional frames you need. No subs!@#$%^&*ute, sorry. BTW, Akai's proggie just adds shadows and other faux 3D gimmicks, it won't give you a rotated effect

I suppose it MIGHT work at a pinch but I wouldn't want to use it personally.
