Well naedhaha also hosts, but he doesnt have that special sort of enjoyment of it. He doesnt have fun when he's doing, he just lays out boring basic messages. Gotta be quirky when you host ^.-

 

I think we have 6 -7 ER's overall and only I and naed ever host out of them O.o'

There seems to be more mods than ER's are also lol, and they host alot so really they are doing the job of the ER

Staff Above ERs know what they aren doing, ERs are required to host and keep things calm in the zone. Mods are also there to host, but respond to ?cheater and so on.

Without turning this into the whole ER situation i'm going to just defend my case then let it be done

 

1) naed has used up his 150 hours he gets every monthwith BT first of all. Thats why you havnt seen him in a week. He devoted most of his hours to continuum.

 

2) Kentai is a complete newb. I mean he screwed up a game of speedball. He is useless, everyone who has seen him host feels the same (as far as I know and have seen/been told)but no one has the heart ! He has even admitted leaving when he does something wrong so others have to cover the event instead!

 

3) Ive had a stupid amount of lag, exams, and homework suddenly appear in front of me, and I see that as more important than a game sortry. If i'm not on 24/7 to host a few games then so be it, but dont forget i'm taking time out of my schedual to host for people to enjoy. I enjoy hosting for people, I like to hold fun events, which is why I host alot of WWL, Speedball, Race, and other events, which are usually ignored by many of the staffers because they dont want to host them because they dont like them. Take mauruauders WWL for instance. I know a ton of people who hate it, and YES, some people refuse to host it in staff! but I cant see why so I willingly host for the players.

 

4) Finally, I DO play other games online, TAO is a big game I play also at the moment because it doesnt affect my lag, and you and others play other games to, so you cant say you lay alot of the time around continuum.

 

Please think about what you say about people who host events, and look at who in the ER position who actually do host events, and rather who hosts varied, fun, and wanted games without screwing them up. Cause I know very few who I have seen host events, let alone ones that run almost perfectly smoothly.

killa, do you know how to host pandora properly? cuz i know you've hosted it and it was fun, but was that how it was meant to be played? cuz many people i've talked to think that event is lost, and that you probably don't know what you were doing

Nobody I know of knows how to host Pandora's Box properly.

the one we had in 17th for awhile was great.. basically a race to the flag with lots of problems.. ship rotation reversed... huge surge in wormhole gravity.. occasional screen blackouts.. or grey outs. being able to see in a small circle around the ship.. lots of different stuff... THAT was the fun one

Well ths is an interesting topic and ...well yeah my hours are used up (i am on school PC now) And cencil you will see me on the 18th when they are back. Oh and as far as i know kentai hasnt hosted anything yet (this may have changed whill i have been away from the zone) oh crap i gotta go

My teacher came...anyway yeah...to back roach, dunno why all he seems to do is insult me but nevermind. So far i have seem kentai attempt to hsot but then run away...twice. Although he has potential he needs to face his problems rather than run from them.

 

And about the topic of "do sysops really give a flying -*BAD WORD*-" OF course they do if they didnt then why would they waste all of thier time (specially pern, How many hours???) on the game trying to make it better and please all of you lot?
