»jabjabjab Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Those look beast! I have a plantronics headset and im comfortable with mine. was 100 dollars Quote
Shock Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 One of my friends was looking at those headphones. Then he listened to my Creative Fata1ity MKII Headset compared to the Beatz headphones he listened to at Walmart and..well.. he decided to go the cheaper route claiming "yours sound so much better". You're paying for a name there. Quote
Corey Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 I dont think its really just the name, these headphones have the best quality ive heard. Quote
Samapico Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 To be honest I don't give a damn about sound quality of my headphones, cause I use them when listening to music downtown or in the subway, where you hear a whole lot of noise around anyway. And I wouldn't feel comfortable having headphones that completely block that sound either... Gotta be aware of your surroundings http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif Quote
L.C. Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 I have these babies. Used to be around $150. Quote
Emit Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 beats by dre is all from monster anyways, and monster is by no means a company that sells for quality for the price. Sennheiser makes way better headphones. Noise canceling may be an issue but whenever I see people with beats, most audiophiles will auto assume you're just another kid that bought it for the brand. Wormhole-Surfer Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 http://di1.shopping.com/images1/pi/1b/ca/e3/41560238-260x260-0-0_Bose+Bose+AROUNDEAR+Around+the+Ear+Headphones.jpg I've been through a lot of headphones (mostly used for gaming) and these (Bose Around Ear Headphones) are by far the most comfortable I've ever owned. I could easily where them for 5 hours straight. They cost about $125 though. The only downside is they're a bit fragile. Mine broke after about 3 years. Now I'm using the Logitech G35 headset which is fairly comfortable but heavier. And the Dolby Surround is really nice on a lot of the newer games that support it. Quote

»Ceiu Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 (I know this is almost a necrobump, but you guys are doing it wrong...) If you want good sound, you guys are looking in the wrong areas. Studio/DJ equipment is the way to go. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/ProDJ/HeadphonesSpeakers/HDJ-1000 Want to know about what kind of sound you're going to get? Frequency response and output level are the easiest specs to make sense of. In a nutshell, these things are a portable night club. Quote
Corey Posted June 14, 2010 Author Report Posted June 14, 2010 Beats by dre are studio, and have damn good sound Quote
»Lynx Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I've found that Shure, Bose and Pioneer all have better sound than them overpriced dre beats. Quote
LiDDiS Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) I like my Shure EC3's. They don't make that line any more but you can still find them used. Too bad I only can use them sparingly cause they hurt my ears, they sound amazing. Edited June 14, 2010 by LiDDiS Quote
