wO! Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) yep. simple as that. we dont need to spend money on advertising, upgrade the graphics, change the current gameplay, none of that shit. what we really need is a new player scores site. how hard is it to make a new one? preferably one similar to the old site. TW, EG, DSB and i'm sure more zones already have their own variation, but they're not quite the same. i remember when i started playing the only reason i stayed was because of the high scores. there was actually a reason to play. eventually in a few months i got into squads and league. no wonder barely any newbs stick around now, wtf is the point? ★ Maverick Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) yup, the community definately need a public scores website again, preferably a fancy designed one. In the past there have been a few attempts at recreating one (and maybe there is still an attempt running) but all of those have failed at which most big/overhauling changes in this game fail; the unwillingness of Priit K. to give people access to anything he controls (the SSC biller in this case). ★ Purge Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 The game needs a complete overhaul, including the drama.
★ Dav Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I dont think it needs an aoiverhaul, the basics are there. Just a few updates. Of course a complete remake looks like the only way this will happen. SSCC Desert Storm OwnerSSforum Admin
wO! Posted May 27, 2010 Author Report Posted May 27, 2010 Yep, recwhoring and statwhoring is truly what this game needs more of. sarcasm fail... YES, thats exactly what we need more of. You say that like its a bad thing? Stat whoring = more people playing more often. It keeps people interested in playing. People don't play COD and all those games just for the hell of it, they play to get their rank up. I've played Geometry Wars and other Xbox Live arcade games hundreds of times just to beat personal or friends' records. If they didn't have high scores then I probably wouldn't have bothered playing in the first place. The same goes for SS, if it didn't have the high scores site back then I probably wouldn't have stuck around.
XO-MANOWAR Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I think wO is right..isnt getting more people to play the point?Or existing players to devote more time/energy to SS instead of the 57 million other games out there?I personally play for the social interaction and hell it's still a fun game!
