adi Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) 1. I was reading this article. Its focus on "cooperation in large, not-personally-connected-groups" brings to mind a certain spaceship game I like to play. 2. I think a slightly larger stats tracker at the end of a flag game would be really cool with things like total damage dealt, total team damage dealt etc (if possible..) 3. If you combine the two then players on a frequency can make informed decisions on who to punish.. by voting. There would not always have to be a scapegoat and it might be accurate to punish multiple players, also this could lend itself to bullying, but overall I think it would be effective & worth implementing. my $.02 Edited May 3, 2010 by adi Quote
Samapico Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 What annoys me from the stats module is that when you're not in the top 10 for some reason (i.e. when you're the one repelling non-stop in a flag game and not getting much kills and/or the game is pretty large), you can't see your stats. You'd have to type ?stats RIGHT before the game ends to see them... bleh. Your personal stats should appear at the end of the stats board. Another nice stat would be the time of the game. And yeah... damage / team damage would be nice to see as well. AFAIK these stats are already monitored somewhere (?) Quote
vetta64 Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I think # of reps used would be an interesting stat, or most player attached so lancs can be on stats. Other than this I think stats box detracts from the fg by people like myself trying harder to get best record than actually trying to win fg. Even doing this it looks good for the team because I get lots of kills and no tks. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 we could possibly have it display your stats to just you if you're outside the top 10 Quote
Samapico Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 we could possibly have it display your stats to just you if you're outside the top 10^ Wouldn't be a problem if it just pm'd you your stats even if you're in the top10. It would be simpler to code, and you'd get your COMBINED stats... because if you're in one freq for half the game, and on the other freq for the rest of the time, your stats appear split for both teams. So you could be in the top 10 of one team, and out of the top 10 for the other team, and still want to see the total kills/deaths you got. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 The way the stats stuff works, I'm not sure it would be combined at the end without having to go in and check for players on multiple teams then combining their stats manually Quote
Samapico Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 So when you do ?stats, it just gives you the stats you have on your current team? Quote
»D1st0rt Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 As I recall, there are two different modules that both give a response to ?stats. The stats module that ships with asss will show all of your stats regardless of team while the hs_stats module separates it by team. edit: hs_stats does add it all up for you Quote
