Against all odds, the Montreal Canadiens beat the Washington Capitals in the decisive 7th game 2-1 to go through the first playoffs round. Montreal was down 1-3 in the series and won the last 3 games to beat the best team of the season. It's actually the first time in NHL history when a 8th-seeded team overcomes a 1-3 deficit against a 1st-seeded team in the playoffs (since the best-of-7 format in 1994 anyway)

No one gave them a chance to win that series, it seriously is a huge upset. Most people even predicted Washington to win in 4 games.
