BDwinsAlt Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) Is this serious? I'd think they wouldn't send an e-mail for these kinds of things... I've heard of people receiving actual lettersI was reading up on this. I found that they usually send letters asking you stop to, and if you continue to do something, then they will spend time and money in court. Right now it isn't worth fighting. It's very hard to prove somebody did this on purpose from one incident. It said that usually it involves several occurances and the cost to the company needs to be reasonable. One incident like this usually results in a letter/isp contact. That doesn't make it ok to do this, just means you need to be careful. Vuze shows you which IPs are downloading/uploading a torrent. I guess microshit decided to monitor it. Just goes to show you, download it using someone else's internet. I.E. Free WIFI HotSpot Copyright infringement is bad! EDIT: Wow my English is so bad. »Lynx Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Aren't there any ISPs in America that don't give out your private credentials. I know that the major ISPs in the UK now suck, and bend over backwards to catch 'offenders'. Anyway, probably about time to seed a little less, use encryption and download some blocklists. Quote
