PoLiX Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35615455/ns/world_news-americas/?gt1=43001 SANTIAGO, Chile - A devastating magnitude-8.8 earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, toppling homes and buildings, collapsing bridges and spawning a tsunami that rolled menacingly across the Pacific. At least 147 people were killed in the strongest earthquake to hit the country in 50 years and one of the strongest ever measured anywhere, according to Carmen Fernandez, director of the National Emergency Agency. And as for the Tsunami, grab your surfboard Joe Quote
Samapico Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Will they record another version of We are the world? Quote
PoLiX Posted February 27, 2010 Author Report Posted February 27, 2010 They actually think the waves might reach as far as Japan and Alaska (guess they did years before when a large earthquake happened in same area). Even went as far as testing our tsunami warning sirens here in WA, and buddy of mine on msn said they tested theirs in northern CA. Hopefully here in the next 10mins we find ourselves being overcautious and nothing happens. Quote
Hakaku Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Well, sirens in Japan went off last night, but not because of Chile. A magnitude 7.0 earthquake rattled Okinawa, but they've since liften the tsunami warnings. Quote

LiDDiS Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Something is wrong with this planet It's almost as if we're on islands of land floating on lakes of magma and our islands occasionally rub together! Stupid cunt. Quote
Audry Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Yeah, all the fucked up weather we had lately makes me believe that something is wrong... but go at it, call me a cunt for that... Grow the fuck up kid. Quote

If you can't keep your household in line, how do you expect to help the multitudes Audry is either a girl or a very feminine man. Je t'adore audry Je crois que elle est une fille. Quote

BDwinsAlt Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 If you think a lot of innocent lives have been lost already, Imagen if 1/3 of everything died, like the bible says it will. This has happened before during the Plagues that hit Europe and history tends to repeat itself. The world is supposed to be ended in fire. Plates shifting around, volcanoes erupting, global warming, ect. It's all so real now. I remember in the 90's the biggest story I heard was about Bill Clinton's affair. Now it's all about death and destruction. The news is depressing. That's why I am always clueless about what goes on around me, I never watch the news. Glad balloon boy is finally off the news those. Quote
