Dr Brain Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 We can't even update continuum on PCs; how are we going to get it to work on a mobile phone? Quote

Samapico Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 If we ever finish a new client, chances are we'll be able to adapt it to whatever platform we want Quote

Samapico Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 What's your point? It's not clear if you approve of Brain's post, or if you think what he said is ridiculous ô.o ^new emoticon Quote

L.C. Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 *snickers* I have a hunch Mike's got something big up his sleeve that he isn't uncovering. (Might be wrong though.) Quote
MikeTheNose Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Only if Discretion was programed in C# instead of C++. And no I don't. I would think the program would be too big and require too much graphics use, not to mention that the ships would be about the size of my nail? Hmmmm. Perhaps the iPAD? Quote
Samapico Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Pretty sure there are applications much more graphic-intensive then continuum on mobile phones... the only issue is compatibility, really. And as long as WE (the community) have control on the source code, I believe we can make it work where we want to Quote
MikeTheNose Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Porting, always fun. I'll get you to do it What's the screen size, 200x400? Wonder how'd all the specials look like. Quote
L.C. Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Hehe, that's where we get creative. Quote
»Lynx Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Even if we came up with a simple game that kinda looks a little bit like subspace, but was pretty fun and called it Subspace and used a VIE ship... It would make for good advertising if people downloaded it. Quote
Samapico Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 If they can't use specials they'll get owned badly But some zones could adapt better to that I guess If the rendering allows us to zoom in/out, it could be made to zoom according to the resolution used. Maybe your ship would end up 4x4 pixels, but whatever. Quote
»Xog Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Porting, always fun. I'll get you to do it What's the screen size, 200x400? Wonder how'd all the specials look like. ?go minijavs in trenchwars Quote
MikeTheNose Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Epic fail Xog. Imagine that on an even smaller screen. 1x1 pixel shall we? Quote
»Xog Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 It was supposed to be a joke. I'm not very funny it seems Quote
whalz Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 NOT VERY FUNNY AT ALL and no one says subspace on the phone has to work with subspace on PC.. perhaps only phone - phone... still would be pretty lame playing ss on a phone.. i barly want to talk on mine Let alone play games on it!@ thats what the DS (which i sold :<) 'was' for Quote
