menu problem

I think i've brought this up before.

 

BUT:

 

I try to access any menu:

 

 

It will cause every program on my computer to:

 

 

And it only does this when i open continuum, and it stops when continuum process has ended. And even then some programs still have the problem (Right now FFX is fine, but MSN and Skype having menu problems)

also: it did this before. On a previous XP installation. THIS IS A NEW XP INSTALL.

ALso: New Continuum install as well.. did that on the fresh install.

Also: Did it off of all versions of .40 from all sites (getcont.com, ssforum, etc.)

 

This is one of the reasons why you rarely see me in game anymore, because im too lazy and i just dont care to try and fix this but i figured hey... why not try and give it a go.

I get some sticky fading-out menus once in a while, nothing to do with Continuum though... The only way to get the desktop to redraw is to kill explorer.exe and restart it...

 

 

But that probably doesn't help you.

well here's another symptom. If i run continuum as an administrator, its fine. Im trying 2 clients right now, one normally, and the other as an admin, and the admin one works fine (although i cant see my resolutions in the game, but that is a different matter)

Continuum has and always will be a humongous glitch with a built-in spaceship game. I've had so many random problems that I don't even care anymore.

 

Good luck figuring this one out. I would give it a go if I could recreate the problem..but I doubt it.
