L.C. Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I think one small but important thing to do is to have somewhere on getcontinuum.com one of those "Follow us at" things with hyperlinked icons to mediums like Facebook, MySpace, Steam Community, etcetera. Here is what I have so far: Follow us athttp://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ssgc_steamcommunity.gif Steam Communityhttp://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ssgc_facebook.gif Facebookhttp://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ssgc_myspace.gif MySpacehttp://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ssgc_twitter.gif Twitter Do we even have a Twitter?
Samapico Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 How hard would it be to plug the subspaceonline news out to a twitter feed? I'm guessing not too much? And how about having the news posted on the steam group and facebook as well? That looks a bit more difficult to me though...
»Lynx Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Twitter is limited to something like 145 characters. Perhaps a parser that grabs the title and a bit.ly URL too.
Hakaku Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Why not an RSS feed of subspaceonline, seems more appropriate.
rootbear75 Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 who is the creator of that get continuum facebook page. Just copy/paste news information I'd be willing to do it even.as its something i COULD Do.
PoLiX Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 RSS feed would be quick and simple... I've been toying with the SSO twitter a bit trying to see how I could feed into it. I did find I could post to it from Trillian so did a test with that I haven't deleted yet. But dunno yet.
Delic Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 SubSpaceOnline on Twitter = big win imo. Effective spontaneous advertising.
