Continuum won't start

Hey guys,

 

So i have been running SS for some time now on vista, however recently when i double click continuum the loading circle pops up for about 1 second then nothing.

No thunder noise or ship select, i check the processes in task manager but nothing shows up.

I have tried some recomended solutions such as installing continuum in other folders such as C:\ and renaming the executable.

 

If anyone can offer me some advice it'd appreciate.

What happens when you right click and run as administrator? I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu on this machine and it works fine on both.

No go, it asks permission then same situation.

Basically the guy had to update his video card drivers. Try going to your device manager and update them there. If windows update cannot find an update, go to your brand of computer's website and download it there. EX: Dell would be dell.com. Drivers are usually under support.

 

Also, another thing they did was try running it in Compatibility mode as XP. It didn't work for them, but you might want to give that a try. Also, disable any kind of firewall/internet security program that may cause continuum to not run.

 

If you tried everything in that link above and still have no results let me know. I just wish I could recreate the problem. Make sure windows is up to date also

i have this problem too on my window vista basic but after i add the .exe to DEP and it work.

The DEP is somewhere here •Data Execution Prevention (in Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance Settings/DEP)
