Was today "Get Online Day"? or what?

Most pop i seen on a Sunday in a while. Almost 950 just on my list.

Posted (edited)

The global concurrent population is somewhere between 200 to 400 more players than usual, no? (Measured this at time of posting.)

EDIT: 500 as a reach.

EDIT2: Dude! Check Google Analytics. There is a nice traffic spike. Three times the traffic than when we ran the Google advertisements with a daily budget of $17.50 or a max search CPC of $3.50 (default being $0.10). Almost 1000 visitors on 1/9/2010!

EDIT3: Hahaha, they're all coming from reddit.com

EDIT4: And here it is... *drum roll*

Login to Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics -- PMing you your username your login should be the same as the Google AdWords (or the e-mail you donated with) and the password should or might be the same as the one you use to login to Google AdWords.

EDIT: That reddit is under Gaming on page 2 of its frontpage (http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/?count=25&after=t3_anukc).

Well, this also surely confirms that I have the goals in Google Analytics setup incorrectly or Google Analytics fails to track clicks to Continuum040Setup.exe. blum.gif Surely at least one person installed Continuum from that reddit post.

should add SSForum and SubSpace Online profiles to that.

Edit: SSF down from 2,000,000 avg hits/month to ~1,000,000 avg hits/month... so sad :o

That's what I like to see.

We need to vote for Continuum on a major site. If we get a group effort together and we all register/vote on our computers, at the library, at school, at your moms, gramdmothers, cousins, uncles, friends, strangers ect. we can certainly make a nice spike in activity.

I will create profiles for both sites and give you the javascript code via PM. Working on that now.

EDIT: PMed.

EDIT2: Oh hey, and I upped you to Administrator on Analytics.

MG is up to 30 ppl, rather than our typical 8 on a Sunday afternoon. Although we have been hitting that every few hours or so in the last couple days, it was a bit unexpected for today.

Everybody, go on Reddit and make an account to upvote it (it's really easy, no email required).

Guys, it took me less than 10 seconds to register for a Reddit account AND upvote that post. If I can do it, so can you! =D

registering on reddit and voting took 20 seconds. for those unfamiliar with reddit it could be a little tricky to figure out how to vote up so i screenshotted it:

Edit: off to the library, the community college, your moms, gramdmothers, cousins, uncles, friends, strangers ect. to vote it up

You know you can prob use that script skills that were used for ssdl to change IP and create accounts and vote up. :o

no.

There's most likely a built-in detection and security on reddit to try and stop stuff like that from happening.

So I checked myspace from Continuum accounts (advertising) and it's pretty pathetic..

This one has 1 friend (tom): http://www.myspace.com/sscutrenchwars

This one has 1 friend (tom): http://www.myspace.com/subspacecontinuum

We want Myspace exposure because it has a lot of youth on it. We need kids.

If anyone knows another subspace/continuum myspace account please link me. If I don't see anything good I'll create an account myself (i'm pretty experienced with myspace exposure)

That was weird... my reply was to jabjabjab and his 'beat the system' thing, your reply wasn't there when I started typing blum.gif Funny that your post talked about kids
