Dav Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Just a minor point, the graphic on the download now link doesnt list win7. I know this probably makes little dofference but im sure some newbies out there will be looking for win7 in the list.
»Maverick Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Hm it also doesn't list Windows 3.1 or Windows NT. I'll change the graphic this evening if I don't forget. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8682/buttondownload.png Edited January 8, 2010 by Maverick
Samapico Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Hm it also doesn't list Windows 3.1 or Windows NT.Does it work on windows 3.1?
L.C. Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Just load up Windows 3.1 in VMWare or something.
»Xog Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) I actually have a 3.1 sitting in my closet. I usually use it as a door stopper when I'm moving furniture/groceries in, but i'll check it out tonight lol. highly doubt it'll work though. hope floppy still works Edited January 8, 2010 by Xog
»Xog Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) i don't have skeletons in my closet guys, i have a DOS PC in there. http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4364/compaqpc.gif ^ That's actually the EXACT same model I have Edited January 8, 2010 by Xog
»doc flabby Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 I doubt it will work in 3.1 as it needs directx...
»Maverick Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) All done. (Press F5 if you don't see a '7'.) http://www.getcontinuum.com/images/button-download_040.png I excluded Windows 3.1 as per Doc Flabby's reasoning. Edited January 8, 2010 by Maverick
Kilo Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 You can't run it on Wine with just the installer at this time, so that wouldn't make sense?
L.C. Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) What if you used http://www.hlrse.net/subspace/Continuum040Setup.exe instead of the official installer? This one is custom-made using the WinRAR SFX Installer. EDIT: Nevermind, that might be too much of a reach to make. Edited January 8, 2010 by L.C.

Samapico Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 How about adding a smaller link beside it for linux/mac, that brings you to whatever you need to download + instructions to make it work
»Lynx Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 What if you used http://www.hlrse.net/subspace/Continuum040Setup.exe instead of the official installer? This one is custom-made using the WinRAR SFX Installer. EDIT: Nevermind, that might be too much of a reach to make. The installer isn't the reason why Continuum won't work with just Wine.
»Maverick Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Quick Links to Get You Started Download the Continuum Client Download Mirror Continuum on Linux with Wine SubSpace Beginners Guide GetContinuum.com website already has a link to running Continuum on Linux. I'm not sure if the information is up-to-date though. Edited January 9, 2010 by Maverick
