Weird unknown graphic in client

I was full screen mode and was typing using japanese ide texting mode and saw this weird thing while typing... tell me what this is plz.\\

I'll take a WILD guess it's software that overlaps whatever's on your current screen. If you're typing out japanese stuff then you probably have some type of software that would do that.

I'm pretty sure that has absolutely nothing to do with Continuum. You might want to run an antivirus, malware and spyware scan. Just a guess.

That's the standard Japanese Input Method Editor (partly cut off in your screenshot). It will show up as a character aid when a program does not properly handle natural input. If you try to type other complex scripted languages such as Chinese or Korean, you should easily be able to observe a similar program appear. It's not limited to Vista, but applies to all of Windows.
