activation Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 that was a good idea root, but it's saying that I got 1440 x 900 in the resolution for that too. i guess it is the graphics card then, but that really makes no sense ughhh i can live with 1200 x 1024 i guess but i just dont understand why a new card that is able to give a 1440 x 900 on the desktop can't do the same in game.
L.C. Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Change it to 5a0 and 384 respectively for 1440x900.
activation Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) yep, i figured that much out by typing "1440 in hex" on google, but it still comes out not that size. here's some pictures so you guys can see what i'm talking about: 1440 x 900 res: http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/4089/screenshot4x.png 1280 x 1024 res:http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8513/screenshot5q.png my continuum display menu:http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/8528/contdis.jpg edit: maybe it's taking pictures in the right size but to my monitor there is 0 difference. »Lynx Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 What exactly is the problem with your monitor? Is Subspace appearing outside of the boundaries of your screen? If that's the case, then I'd be inclined to believe it's an issue with the computer detecting your monitor when you switch to Subspace. I'd suggest that you see if there are any hardware drivers that are available for your monitor it's self, even if there is some software that you can run with your monitor or whether your monitor it's self supports the video card that you're using. I know this may seem odd, but I had LOADS of hassle with an old CRT I had, it took me a whole day to figure out how to set up auto-detection for multiple settings profiles on it, too. If that's not the case, though - then I have no idea why your screen shot would be fine but what's appearing on your monitor not being fine.
rootbear75 Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 yea, i was reading his post and im like.... that looks fine to me. then i read lynx's and i kind of agree with him
L.C. Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Alternatively, you can turn on Windowed mode and set the resolution to 2048x1536. Continuum is supposed to autosize its resolution to fit your screen than to actually force 2048x1536.
