Synister Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 But... wtf is Virgin Galactic? When did Virgin decide to get in the space tourism business?there was a article about the president of virgin and he was saying how his dream was to be the first to start tourism flights into space.. this was awhile ago but within the year that I read it. Looks like his dream came true, of course these flights will cost upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars but yea.. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c52/Synister05/siggy4.jpgReturning to SS soon...maybe.Anything is only as difficult as the mind percieves it to be.
★ Lynx Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 virgin interactive entertainment unveils subspace 2?!? Oh wait never mind... cool anyway Exactly what I thought... But... wtf is Virgin Galactic? When did Virgin decide to get in the space tourism business? I believe that they're into flying planes right on the edge of the atmosphere, I read about this in a magazine years ago. This may have been just when they were announcing plans of doing it, though.

★ Blocks Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Pretty awesome. I went out to the Mojave Desert for the first spaceflight of SpaceShipOne in 2004, which was exciting. As cool as SpaceShipTwo and space tourism is, I am at least an order of magnitude more excited about the (successful) efforts of SpaceX at reaching low Earth orbit with a privately developed vehicle.
Gravitron Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 from computer games to space flight Lord British (the father of Ultima series) has already done it with a different company, which has catered to several clients by now; rumored to cost around 20-30 million USD.
