Draft Dueling League Rules and Signups

Due to be busy irl D1st0rt has asked me to organize the Draft Dueling League (DDL). Given the current "draft" situation is exceedingly poor. I have decided to restart the process of organizing the DDL from the bottom up. Some details are as follows (Please note that details are liable change with or without notice).

 

The DDL will consist of a season followed by a post-season tournament!

 

Season matches will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday evenings at 7, 8, 9, 10 PM (Eastern Standard Time). Matches will consist of a total of three rounds with the winner being best two out of three. Each round will consist of two 10 minute halves of 5 death elimination. The team with the most kills after two halves will be declared the winner of the round. The approximate time commitment for a match will be around 1 hour. Public ships warbird/javelin will be used.

 

Each team will consist of a team captain and several players. The total size of the team is still to be determined. The team captains will be notified of upcoming match date, opponent team captain, and referee with ?message. They are required to negotiate a time 7, 8, 9, 10 PM (EST) that both captains can agree on and the referee is able to attend at least three days before the match date.

 

The post-season tournament will have a schedule similar to the regular season. The ladder will be arranged from overall rank in the season.

 

Given this is the first season ever, we will be holding several pre-season matches to iron out the kinks. Furthermore we're going to be working out some type of contract so that participants will get paid at the end of the league.

 

We NEED referees who are willing to commit some time to preside over official matches and report the results on the forum.
