Samapico Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 lol! Sounds like 'Game over' from about any NES game
L.C. Posted November 20, 2009 Author Report Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Thought just hit me. You know what I think it is? I think this sound goes to Ghosting. Until Grav or someone from the Sniper days can confirm this, I think what Ghost would do is release a decoy every x seconds and would make the 171.wav sound. EDIT: And if you had cloak and stealth enabled while ghosting was enabled -- oh what fun! Edited November 20, 2009 by L.C.
Samapico Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Can't you test it out with a Sniper install?
L.C. Posted November 20, 2009 Author Report Posted November 20, 2009 Nope. Ghost is something you can toggle on and off, just like cloak and stealth. Now you obviously can't see what you look like without a mirror or a second client (but then you also need a server). Unless someone could manage to get a server working for Sniper v0.40/87/94, there is no way I can see what ghosting looks like from the outside.
