Considering how clean the rest of the game looks, the HUD really stands out and kind feels amateurish. How hard was it to do some of the lighting effects and such you did on some of the weapons? Does the xbox do most of that for you or did you have to write that yourself? Also, what RPG elements are in the game? Is it similar to EV in that there's a massive solar system that takes 581257012571 years to get through (and likes to bitch slap you with asshole pirates in those big gray T-shaped ships with a plethora of missiles when you reach your destination)? There are at least Nav destination indicators (two? for...?). Unfortunately I'd rather spend points on that new borderlands dlc than this. In the trial I tried survival mode and one thing is that it got too hard wayyy to fast. You didn't even have enough time to put turrets on abbadon before swarms of ships came out and pwned ur ass. Controls take a while to get used to and (at least in sirvival) things are way too expensive. I've spent a couple hours on MW2 today, on ActII - The Hornets Nest on Veteran, should complete vet tomorrow and will probs have spec ops done by the end of the week... damn this game is addictive. Spec ops will be the biggest bitch of them all. If you haven't done any on veteran yet then i will be suprised if you get them all done by the end of the week. I spent a while playing, nobody else was online really so I didn't actually get a good feel of the online play but here are the things that are bad about the game: The controls don't feel natural, took me at least 35 minutes to really get used to them, perhaps because it doesn't feel like Subspace, but moves like Subspace. It's kinda hard to see the objective of the game instantly; which will put a lot of people off. Perhaps make training something that you *have* to do before you start playing. Maybe make the turret guns primary, and the stationary guns secondary. It just feels awful trying to take people down with just stationary guns when you can't reverse the ship. Other than that, the game is fun and it has potential. I added ckcornflake online, so hopefully we'll have a game soon. I've worked through specops but my friend who I was doing it with had some exams, so I've slowed down on that now - I'm on Act3 on veteran campaign, though. I don't have my xbox on but I think I've done all of the alpha specops, all but one of bravo, and a few charlies, not unlocked delta I don't think. I done one of them on my own, which was good fun - try 'acceptable losses' solo... took me like 15 minutes but man it was good. Edited January 16, 2010 by Lynx
