I downgraded to XP so I can take advantage of my computer's hardware. Couldn't have done this with Vista while still running smoothly. http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif

What desktop environment is that in the second pic?

Windowblinds for start menu and explorer icons, Rainmeter for what you see on the desktop (meters, RSS, etc), Rocketdock for the dock, and Socwall for wallpaper. I only have 1GB RAM with a 1.8GHZ dual core CPU, but it runs very smoothly on XP.

 

The only thing high-end I do on my laptop is play Far Cry. http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif
