L.C. Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 DCME feature requests: 1) Centering selections horizontally and vertically relative to a user set boundary or level dimensions2) Resizing selections to make smaller or larger than original size3) Kaleidoscope/mirror tile drawing. User can set up to 6 or 32 "mirror dividers" that will act like mirrors and correctly mimic your drawing of tiles4) Experimental: setting dimensions of level file (could be used in Discretion or third party). Samapico Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 1) You can center it relative to your screen, or to the map2) You can already do that... unless you mean something else3) Yeah, I thought of that. Why 6 or 32 ? I'm thinking of defining a rectangular area, define the operation (mirror, flip, rotate), then define the destination area. With the planned new implementation of walltiles, walls would be drawn accordingly as well.4) This would be the kind of thing to do if we start a new non-vb editor Quote
L.C. Posted November 1, 2009 Author Report Posted November 1, 2009 Also another feature/external-feature suggestion: * Experimental: aispawns.ini creator for Bjorn's AI Bot//AI Bot by Bjorn//Help is available at the bottom of the file [AIspawn1]X=511Y=511Radius=300RandomSpawn=1RandomSpawnRadius=50Ship=1Freq=0 Brick=0Burst=0Decoy=0Repel=0 Health=-1GunLVL=1BombLVL=-1Thrust=-1Speed=-1Recharge=-1BombFireDelay=-1BulletFireDelay=-1 //HELP SECTION//each spawn is made using the [AIspawnx] line. x=number of the spawns possible//X and Y is the starting position for the bot and the center of its work radius//Radius is how far away the bot roams and attacks from its start position. (in tiles)//Ship used by the bot. How it uses each ship is set in AI.ini//Freq. can set a specific freq or use -1 for random//Brick,Burst,Decoy,Repel is amounts of each special //Below you can use -1 to set it to the initial ships setting in the settings file//Health is the initial energy//GunLVL is initial gun level//BombLVL is initial bomb level//Thrust is initial thrust//Speed is initial speed//Recharge is initial recharge//BombFireDelay is delay between each bomb it can fire//BulletFireDelay is delay between each bullet it can fire There would be no comments in the generated file, but what the person could do in DCME is select a coordinate, set the spawn radius, set for random spawn and radius, ship and frequency. I imagine one way to do it would be... 1) Find a location2) Click and hold on the spot you want your bot to spawn3) Drag out and release to set the radius4) Popup window to set everything else5) Repeat until you have all the spawns set6) Generate your aispawns.ini file I understand that this request in specific is a little unrelated though.
