Correct. I'm suggesting that 'why prepare a speech if you would turn it down?' You don't need some big fancy speech just to say no. Simply "declining" offers/prizes/whatever without speeches happens all the time. It's a big waste of time altogether, really. Edited December 22, 2009 by L.C.
