Going to begin hunting some people down for 20 questions interviews this weekend, but who would you be most interested to hear from?

Waiting on Priit to reply, so don't list him.

I'd prefer to start with zone owners and head sysops, but list away.

Why start with Sysops and stuff why not some of the general population. I know for a fact there are a bunch of regular players that have been around long time and have made a difference of some sort. Alot of the older players have been around when zone-owners changed.. staff changed, staff fired etc and they were still around. I'm sure they could make a good 20 questions thing too.

Just saying, don't exclude the people who keep this game alive.

It really doesn't matter if Cheese gets interviewed or not. I think its better if we have some players getting interviewed too.

Acctually its a fair point.

It tends to be these things are much MORE interesting to read 1-2 years later...when you can see what happened to them, their zone, how things have developed. The old interviews on ssdownloads are interesting. At the time...they often wouldn't have seen that interesting...

hahahahahahahahhah "Cheese" give me a break.

Did you pull this off the "who was on today" list?

No, I explained why I listed who I did. Some if not half of those players haven't really set foot in either subspace or ssforum for ages (Dock>, Mr Ekted, SOS, Pyxlz, Smong, XDOOM, to name a few). Some have made bigger or different contributions than others (bots, plugins, modules, servers, graphics, websites, hosting, zones, helping, billers, clients, directory servers, promoting the game). I added Cheese because he provides/d open zone hosting to people who need it, plus contributed a few ASSS modules. I didn't add some players like Creatix mainly because they're closed developpers. To me, I'm more interested in people that have and that want to make an impact in this game, whether or not they're well respected, drama queens, or even renowned outside their home zone. It's refreshing to see people, even if they don't have the skills to do it themselves, propose new ideas and try to help and motivate others (yes, this would actually include you jabjabjab). Seeing how I don't frequent every zone, I can't really tell you about some influential players that have left an important mark in them (DSB, Chaos, Halo, MG, MK, HZ, DS, SWE, PB, T3...). Like I said, it's just a small list of many players that could be interviewed. If it were up to me, I'd go so far as to include controversial players, and anyone who simply wants to be surveyed.

I can also get contact with QUITE a few old sysops (IE: Evaugh - EX EG Head SysOp & Hallucination - Long time Chaos Owner) & developers who are still around. I think old zone staff might be interesting, as honestly, back then staff CARED about their zones, trying to grow them and make them what we had. Now most of them just want power or don't want to let them go.

I'd prefer to ask people who still hop in, as many questions are geared towards why they still play. Though I can modify them a bit, and ask why they're still involved in the community, or why they left, etc.

I'd feel odd asking myself the 20 questions, so don't plan seeing anything from me for a long while.

And MikeTheNose I have done, just haven't posted.

And finally, I did interview 2 zone owners, who both didn't do any bragging about their own zones. Besides TW Staff, there isn't any questions where they really can without lying.

If you want players to do it: i say make a form type of submission thing, and require people to log in with their SSForum credentials, then let them submit the form. If you like it, add it on the site, if you don't, no harm done.
