Bring Back World Discussion Forum

Agreed, General Discussion is nothing but pointlessly moderated trash talk and any interesting topics from world discussion are now dead, and no new ones have appeared since the world discussion forums were axed. Boo.

You could have made your point without being so rude.

 

Though, I do agree that having the World Discussion forum was better. I also don't like filtering through posts I do not wish to read.

Just make a new category called "Trash Stuff" and move all trash topics to it, keeping the forums filled with only interesting posts.

I used to make my point in a non-rude way, but as you can see, that lead to 100% warning. Someone else put up a poll:

If I restore it, it will be as a subforum under general discussion until it can prove its worth as a forum again. The old one got to the point where it was viewed less than some of the inactive zone forums, and had frontpage topics stretching back to feb 08.

 

To me it got to where it looked like 1 topic at a time was ever discussed, and I saw no need for a seperate forum for that. So if that is all it deems to be, then what is the point. You can just as easily post the topic in general.

Why not just bring it back to the way it was? It makes no difference to anybody - if you're not interested in world discussion then don't click on the forum, if you are - then post. Better that than everybody who posted on world discussion leaving (which is what has happened...).

Forum re-opened with all topics since Aug 2008 restored. May go through and restore more as time goes on.
