Bungie put on its big boy pants and moved on to their own projects, partially seperating from MS.

 

Halo 3: ODST = Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, the elite guys who we're dropping in and backing your ass up in Halo - Halo3. The storyline is a side story to Halo 3.

 

There is also 3 other Halo storyline games coming out in the next 2-3yrs.

as far as i know, the 3 new maps are coming out the same time ODST is.

so adding that to the cost is pointless.

also: ANYONE who preorders Halo: ODST gets a code for reach beta (afaik)... not just special edition. same goes with unlocking johnson (this i do know).

Root, I was saying how the controller is a special eddition, and you have to admit it's an awesome price, $59.99 game + $59.99 controller + $20.00 maps = $100.00 plus tax? I see bungie can't add. meh PoLix knows what I'm talkin bout.

It's pointless to get ODST. It is just a campaign cd with a halo 3 multiplayer cd. I'm just going to buy the map packs for halo 3. Btw the maps are only got to be for like $12 on the marketplace.

 

But on the other hand I'm going to pre-order Call of duty Modern warfare 2 Harden/Prestige. Prestige comes with night vision goggles. But I can't make up my mind if I want to spend $150 on it. They both come with call of duty classic.

Just an FYI: you can't get the new map packs any other way except by buying ODST. It's not a downloadable. they package it with 2 discs. 1 disc has the campaign and firefight, the other has every map pack on it.

also an FYI: YOU CAN'T use the new maps on the Halo 3 disc... you have to use the Halo 3 multiplayer disc that came with ODST... which is the gayest thing i've ever heard.

 

EDIT: Which means, you can't load the new maps onto your hard drive. then play with your original halo 3 disc...
