Hi.

 

I need flags to spawn where they are placed in .lvl, so I have flag mode set to turf.

I also need those flags to be mobile, so I have CarryFlags set to yes.

 

HOWEVER... this combination results in the flags just disappearing when their timer runs out.

I need them to be owned by the team when the timer runs up, and still be possible to be taken by the other team.

As it is right now, they just disappear, and even though you get points for them each periodic award,

they don't actually appear under the flag count stat.

 

Is there a way to solve this without using a bot?

They don't drop where they spawned?

 

Either way, only way flags can be dropped anywhere is if they are carryable, so you'll need a bot if you really want them to spawn at specific places.

You mean mobile and not set to turf? What's the point of that combination then?

And why does it give points =x Weirdness. Glitch maybe? :/

I'm guessing the point would be to have power-ups that you can pick up, you use them for a certain time, and then they 'respawn' where they were picked up.

But they do respawn where they were, right?

I used such settings in an arena I did, and they respawned like that.

 

Don't know about points... even if it respawns neutral, you did drop it, so I guess it will stay that way until the other team picks it up. But it doesn't show up since it's not technically owned (appears blue to both teams)

I did some more testing...

 

No, they don't respawn after timer runs out. Apparently only if you take -all-

flags and the timer of the last flag runs out, then they do respawn. But if you

don't pick upp all flags, they just disappear.

 

If I use FlagMode=2 and CarryFlags=2 (only carry one at a time) then it will

only let me pick up the first flag; after its timer runs out, it respawns

the flags that I try to pick up right away, while the first flag remains in no-man's-land lol.

 

THIS GAME IS A MONSTER!
