Samapico Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 If you use like 40 you should be fine even if all the sysops go ufo+super and kill everyone at once in the zone That's only a few thousand objects Also I don't remember this being answered... are gonna make these pop up over your ship, or over the one you killed? In case of allied kills, over your ally's ship or over the guy he killed? If it's over the dead guy, there is a chance you don't see it because it's offscreen... (also make sure to handle the limits of the screenobject x/y position... it's like -4000 to 4000 or something) Quote
Samapico Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 that, or minefields in ht's, or random tacnuke bombing, or huge antimatter mine fields... or playing with 640x480 and killing anything Quote
Kilo Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Either way you guys are talking about this as if adding a lot of IDs is tough or something. Kerscript, kerconf. Quote

There may be a more elegant and graceful solution (like putting the lvzs around the edge of your screen), but it would be quick and easy. Quote
Samapico Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Is there any practical use for it? Or is it just to compare your ships; I mean, the exp you get from kills depend on your global exp, right? I guess parasite could depend on ship exp instead of kills... would make it easier to track Quote
Dr Brain Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Ship exp is a part of hscore3, not the current version. Quote
Samapico Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 OMG HSCORE3 AWSUM Big awesome face Quote
Acer Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Big smiley face.... FTW! Eh this will probably be very help full. Can't wait intill it's up... Quote
»Ceiu Posted August 28, 2009 Author Report Posted August 28, 2009 Brain is lying. It's actually "Stupid Exp." You see, every time you do something stupid (or in the case of playercontinuum, every 5 seconds), you'll get some S.Exp. Any ship you own will have 1 ball & chain for every 1000 S.Exp you have. ^ True story. Quote
Kat Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 I'm really liking the hud update. I agree with Doc's suggestion though. Having a small arrow with a $/exp amount pointing towards where you killed someone offscreen, or having it just pop up out of the dead ship and fade out if onscreen would be a real nice idea. Not a fan of the S. Exp (Cerium's way), as team kills are the fastest way to Shell. Quote
