»jabjabjab Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Population graph isnt working... ? ;/ I like to look at it, and it helps me tell how well pop is doing. TestTube please fix it.
»freakmonger Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Talk to Maverick, he's the one who made the SS Population Graph.
»jabjabjab Posted July 30, 2009 Author Report Posted July 30, 2009 Oh really? Well it's a shame :/. I really used that tool to observe the population dips around 1AM through 9AM
»Maverick Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 SSCUSERVERS dir has been down.Ya, what Polix said. The program collecting the statistics is still running fine but the directory server it uses, sscentral.sscuservers.net, is down. I can reconfigure it to use subdir.org but that simply won't work because not all zones have it configured - a distorted picture of the population will be given when sscentral.sscuservers.net is down. Not to mention, subdir.org seems to be down right now and subdir.net is gone (?).
Hakaku Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Yeah, it's been since the 28th that Priit's directory server has been down. I had changed the status accordingly here. Btw Mav, neither subdir.net or subdir.org have ever worked. They were up for maybe a week, and then discarded without bothering to inform anyone. This was one of the reasons I had always been against relying on them and never listed them on ssforum's directory server list (someone else has been editing that list against me, constantly putting up dead dirservers though). But why not set the population statistics to automatically use ssdir.playsubspace.com if Priit's is down? Even if not all zones have it listed, it's better to have a few zones still updated than no zones at all (and if it's still bothersome, just make it not update the entire ss population graph).
