Lost names / passwords

Hi,

 

A staff member in Trench Wars was contacted by a new BanG Op, Mom . He was told that the new way of requesting name resets is to e-mail Mom.

 

I would like to have this confirmed because I find it weird that the whole ticket system at www.ssbase.com has been ditched and some important information hasn't been updated yet.

I'll address the Council with this and make sure it is "offcial", if it is offcial or not, I'll let you know. If this policy did change, it should be put out by a Council Member, but regardless I'll let you guys know.

Seriously though, this is news to me. Personally, I do not think this is the way

matters should be conducted. It is always better to have a record of every inci-

dent, which benefits both players and the person dealing with the request (cov-

ers their arse!).

I sent you an e-mail to send on to the council Hoch.

 

But pretty much, I have 0 access to this form, and I get about 80% of the name requests between myself and mom. As I said in such E-mail, BlueGoku posted in HZ he was quiting SS, so I dunno his stance with billing, and as far as I know he and Mackie we're the only 2 with access to the form. Mackie is no longer an op, and I dunno his status.

 

So really, sending em to the form unless I know they'll get helped, isn't an option for me.

Ok so here it is;

 

Mom & PoLiX were added as billing ops because of the whole web site name theft situation. They are handling in game requests for name and squad restoration. Emailing them was done to get more information to work with than just in game messaging. They are not replacing the current system, they are an in game addon to the existing system. So either go to the website or e-mail one of them, either way is fine for now.

 

As for Blue, he didn't quit SS, he is just stepping back from his duties in HZ, while doing this he has more time to handle Billing Op duties as he checks his e-mail often (damn iPhones).

Thanks freakmonger, it certainly creates some clearance.

(Although I would rather see one point of entrance for players to use if they need help with their Continuum (read: SSC) name)

 

Anyway, can Polix's and Mom's e-mail addresses made public? If so, should an e-mail be sent to their personal e-mail address or is there a general e-mail address they both read? (I hope the latter)

Can I get these e-mail addresses?

Anyways, I already told Hoch about it, need to talk to BlueGoku also about maybe moving Name/Squad Retrieval. But there is a new central billing site in the works, as Ghost is REALLY pushing on priit to get scores connection for me for a scores page. Me & MTN decided a central site would be good again, so it will be a subdomain on the new sso. Larry is working on a design, and it will have news, information, faqs, staff, scores, and links to the BanG Dispute and Name/Squad forms.

 

BanG.SSCentral.com will be moved to this new site, and if BlueGoku is down, we will also setup a new form. Mackieman has been removed from power last I heard, and neither Mom or myself have access to his script to help out. So not knowing if players will get help (dunno blue's activity level right now, though he says he checks it a lot), I just have them e-mail me or contact me in game.

 

I get about 20-30 pms/messages daily, and handle em all on the spot. I'm on a lot, and know most the SSC zone sysops, and a good amount of zone staff throughout the game. So I think that kinda helps, as it gives them someone they know to point a player to.

 

Anyways. Site should be up soon, as it'll only take a matter of a few hrs to throw a static website like that together.

Awesome, those are all great initiatives, Polix.

 

For now I'll spread both yours and Mom's e-mail address to the public of Trench Wars until the website is up and running (or told otherwise).
