When i try and open DCME, it asks to install something and starts searching for a file named sku112.cab. When it cant find it, it says comct332.ocx can not be supported, and the program closes. I have a 64 bit Home Premium Vista laptop if that helps any.

Did you try downloading the comctl32.ocx file? You can get it in the downloads section here. Put it in the same folder as DCME.

The sku112.cab file appears to be an installation file of Office, though... I have no idea why it would search for it.

Did you spell that file right (comctl32.ocx)? Otherwise, i cant find where to download it.

Yes, i have that file, as well as all the other "Required Files" in the same folder as the DCME application. Is there an older version of DCME i could use without this problem?

Thanks Drake, that got it working :D

For the record and future reference, the files i had were as follows: COMCT332.OCX, msinet.ocx, zlib.dll, COMDLG32.OCX, and the DCME application. For all the files, i had to right click, select Properties, and click Unblock, then Apply. I then right clicked the DCME app, went to compatability mode xp sp2, and Applied settings. It then worked :)

Thanks again Drake, and Samapico, for your help.

Since the tile editor I had made was full of bugs and I didn't want to continue supporting it. But you can specify any other program you want, like GIMP or whatever, if you check the preferences, file associations tab.

On a side note, I'm glad it seems to open Paint correctly on Vista lol... had no way to check, really.

Maybe I'll compile the old tile editor we had in its own exe, and make it available for download if people still want to use it.

But I strongly recommend GIMP, it's free, and it's not bugged like my editor blum.gif

The only reason i asked was because i liked the old tile editor. I would like to be able to download it if you do make that avaliabe. Ill try out GIMP though and see how that works. Thanks :(
