rootbear75 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 you dont need alot.... my new corded optical mouse ($15) is far superior than my wireless laser mouse... sad I offically refuse to use wireless mice... too laggy, and its extremely noticable when your sensitivity is high.
Corey Posted July 6, 2009 Author Report Posted July 6, 2009 Mine is wired, wireless suck cause of batteries.
»Purge Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I don't even use a mousepad... What's so special about this mouse, anyway?
Dr Brain Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 you dont need alot.... my new corded optical mouse ($15) is far superior than my wireless laser mouse... sad I offically refuse to use wireless mice... too laggy, and its extremely noticable when your sensitivity is high. Obviously you've never used a quality wireless mouse. I've got an MX Revolution, and an MX 1000 before that. Both very, very good wireless mice. There's no noticeable lag. The only downside is you have to recharge them periodically. I'd probably get a G9 if I bought a new mouse today, since it doesn't have the recharging issue, but still has the selectable frictionless scrolling of the MX Revolution (a totally awesome feature).
Chambahs Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Mine has worked beautifully, no complaints, and it was cheap. Its a.....(googles serial number)cant find it EDIT: Its a logitech...but cant figure out the version lmao. Edited July 6, 2009 by Chambahs

Incomplete Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Do you stare at your mouse while on the PC then? I don't even look at mine... I have a leet wireless logitech mouse + keyboard, never had any probs with them.
»1587200 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 I too enjoy my DeathAdder, the accuracy during gaming is incredible.
»D1st0rt Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 One of my roommates had a sweet logitech wireless where the scroll wheel disengaged when you spun it ball-er
Dr Brain Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Yeah, that's the frictionless scrolling I was talking about in my MX Revolution. It's absolutely amazing for long data sheets.
rootbear75 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 so what, it just keeps spinning until you stop it?
Samapico Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Is it hovering on a magnetic field or what? I'd assume it still slows down, but it just doesn't have these 'clicks' However, is it something you can toggle? I can't imagine playing a FPS with that, when you want to change weapons with the wheel...
Dr Brain Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 The clicks disengage over a certain velocity. Technically, yes, there is friction, but you can scroll 50-100 pages before it stops moving and the clicks reengage. You can always give it another spin to keep it going before that happens, too. If you're looking for a specific page, it's easy to stop it very close to where you want. You can set up one of the multitude of buttons to toggle the mode manually so you can start scrolling without friction immediately, or start clicking immediately, though I rarely use this feature.
